Pajama Day!

Hey everyone. Hope this finds you warm and well. Our South Carolina weather has changed and our sun is gone. The wind has blown in the clouds and cooler weather and rain and thunderstorms are going to arrive this afternoon. Because of this gray day, and because God has blessed me with a day where I don't have to get out of the house until 2:00, Ella and I are staying in our pajamas! I am in my comfy sweats, drinking coffee with white chocolate macadamia creamer, watching the Today show and surfing the net. What a great day! :o) These days do not come along very often at the Gorney household and I am just savoring my comfy day! I am going to try to read some of my novel and maybe even take a nap!

Speaking of comfort, this week the Lord has really been speaking to me about His comfort. Although some days I think that there is nothing better than staying in pajamas and drinking yummy coffee and just hanging out, the truth is that the Lord is our comforter. It is HE who comforts us when the going gets tough. It is His comfort that I need to focus on when my days are insane and crazy busy. I have found solace this week in these verses: "God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in our troubles so that we can comfort others." 2 Cor 3-4. I feel like He knows how crazy busy I've been and He arranged for this day to give me a little rest and recuperation. Thank you Lord!

Well, I'm off to switch the laundry and get on with my day. I plan to keep up with this blog at least every other day, so check back often for posts! Mark it as a favorite and keep in touch!
