It poured here yesterday. Torrential downpours. And then, as quick as it started, it stopped and the sun came out. Ella wanted to play in the rain. It started by us daring her to run from the front porch to the tree in the far end of the yard. Being our little daredevil, she was up for the challenge. I should have known that it wouldn't end there. Once she was in the far end of the yard she discovered the most ultimate puddle. I think it is hilarious that she rolled her pants up to keep from getting wet, (which of course didn't work!), but she didn't think twice about getting her socks and shoes wet. Crazy kid!
The thing I love about this though is the carefree nature of kids. As adults we worry about everything, including the kids getting wet and dirty and whatever else. Why do we do that? Kids are washable! I look at Ella's smile and it makes me so happy that a great big puddle can give her so much joy! I wish I had her attitude!
