Sick in Bed!

Actually, I'm on the couch, but I am sick. I started running a fever last night and I have the usual body aches and chills. Other than that, no other symptoms except a sore back. At least being sick, I have an excuse to lay on the couch and watch TV and drink tea and read - things I don't normally get to indulge in on a daily basis. Ella likes to "take care of me" by rubbing my forehead and saying, "you're warm, mama." The weather here today is gorgeous - sunny and 60. As I am laying here writing this, I can see the leaves coming down like rain. I love fall! I love the way the air smells, I love the way the leaves crunch underfoot, and I love "nesting" for the cooler weather and pulling out the sweaters and hats and mittens and cozy blankets. I think this nesting jumpstarts the holiday season. Speaking of that, how are all of you doing with your holiday shopping? I am proud to say that I have made a good start so far, but still have a ways to go. I have really enjoyed shopping online this year. It has been really easy, and it feels good to know that the gift will be delivered to my door, rather than having to go battle the crowds at the store, and trying to dig for the right sizes, colors, etc. With online shopping, a few clicks and you're done!
